Now that the other websites are up and running, I won’t have to use my RadkeReading site for the other stuff and I can get this, my main site, organized. Any suggestions?
So, what have I really been up to?
I have finished Road Test & Road Test 2, The Princess Version, the first book being the actual account of our trip to Reno in our aged but ever-faithful 1995 Chrysler Le Baron. The second is the same trip from the viewpoint of our car which bears the name we affectionately bestowed upon her. Evidently, she wasn’t happy about her call out of retirement. Both books are available on Amazon.
I have also been proofreading and editing for a select few and helping them publish themselves on KDP, Amazon’s publishing platform. I know, now, why books cost so much to get published. There is so much more work to be done than writing words to paper. Editing has several parts, not just looking for typos. I will share those tasks on another page another day.
What else?…
Instead of completing another book (I currently have four on the burners), I have been on a marathon watching and reading all the Harry Potter series. I am still as enraptured by the story, the characters, and the mysterious intrigue as I was when I first read the books. If only I had a smidgen of the writing talent of J. K Rowling, I might be able to sell a book or two!
From the first sentence of the first paragraph, I was drawn into another world that continued to materialize until I was a little beetle on the wall much like the sneaky and malevolent Ms. Rita Skeeter. I was surrounded by the new world and wanted to completely immerse myself in the words. Scary and exciting at the same time.
I began to connect the story and characters with the current political climate. A stretch, I know, but if you really dig into the storyline and put the current political players into the fantastical characters and, of course, the setting in current times, I believe you might be able to see where my mind has traveled.
My analysis would take too many pages so I will leave that thought with you.
That’s it for today!
